The Sixteen
Artists in Residence at Southbank Centre
The Sixteen celebrate their first season as Associate Artists with three concerts which illustrate the wide range of their repertoire. The opening concert is a rare chance to hear Brahms’ German Requiem in the composer’s own arrangement for choir and piano duet. In the second concert, The Sixteen perform music of the Iberian peninsula written during the 1600s, and the final concert sees the group perform music from their album Ikon, including works by James MacMillan, Sir John Tavener and Arvo Pärt.
