One night a month, Southbank Centre gently rocks and grooves to the best in ska, calypso, roots, rocksteady and lover’s rock - classic genres later represented in the mainstream in bands and artists like No Doubt, Lily Allen and Reel Big Fish. Phil Wilding (BBC 6 Music, Mojo, The Old Queen’s Head) and Will Lord (Three Blind Mice, The Arches, Stereo) play selections from artists like Phyliss Dillon, Prince Buster, Horace Andy, Lord Kitchener, Alton Ellis, The Skatalites and Mighty Sparrow, among others.
